Intermediate Teacher
 
Taipa Area School is excited to be in the position to employ a teacher for our intermediate school. We are seeing a significant increase in the number of students who are joining Taipa at Y7–8. This has put our school in a great position to add another teacher to our team. The intermediate currently has 3 teachers who enhance the learning of 80 students. The vast majority of these students whakapapa back to the iwi of Ngati kahu. Our school vision clearly embraces our local history, culture and language.
 
 
 
The successful candidate will have sound curriculum knowledge although newly qualified teacher are welcome. The successful candidate will also have a willingness to support our school vision and walk alongside our students in their learning journey.

Leader of Learning – Intermediate team
 
Taipa Area School is excited to be in the position to employ a dynamic leader of learning for our intermediate school. We are seeing a significant increase in the number of students who are joining Taipa at Y7–8. This has put our school in a great position to add another teacher with a leadership capacity.  The intermediate currently has 3 teachers and enhances the learning of 80 students. The vast majority of these students whakapapa back to the iwi of Ngati kahu. Our school vision clearly embraces our local history, culture and language.
 
The successful candidate will have strong curriculum knowledge and pedagogical expertise at an intermediate level. The successful candidate will also be able to lead, encourage and support teachers in progressing our students closer to achieving our school vision.

Te Ao Māori Kaiako  
 
Our school is excited to be in the position to employ a dynamic Te Ao Māori kaiako. The vast majority of our students whakapapa back to the iwi of Ngati Kahu. Our school vision clearly embraces our local history, culture and language. As a school we are committed to supporting students ‘to know who they are’. This position will be an opportunity to work collaboratively with teachers, whānau and students. There will be a significant teaching element to this role, while developing the capacity of teachers to reinforce and support Te Ao Māori in their lessons.

Teacher Aide

Taipa Area School are looking for Teacher Aides who are empathetic, energetic, and adaptable to support teaching, learning and behavioural needs of students. These vacancies are to support and specifically work with ORS funded students.
The successful applicants must demonstrate a genuine interest in working with children, and the ability to form positive relationships with children from a variety of backgrounds and abilities. The successful applicant will:
* Have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships and remain calm under pressure
* Have a proven record of reliability and trust, and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
* Have excellent organisational skills
* Be a team player
* Previous experience as a Teacher Aide is preferred.
Successful applicants are subject to police vetting clearance and must be fully vaccinated by 1st January 2022 as per Ministry requirements. Primary Relievers
 
Taipa Area School are seeking Primary (year 1-6) relief teachers with a current New Zealand registration who are available on a day to day basis. Our ideal relievers will be able to create positive relationships with our tamariki as well as follow a teaching and learning programme left by the class teacher. Beginning teachers are welcome to apply.
