Taipa Area School is a composite school that includes students from Primary, Intermediate and Secondary age groups ranging from Year 1 to Year 13. The emphasis of the school is on the learning and achievement of all the students that attend Taipa Area School from the diverse communities that contribute to the school catchment area. Our endeavour is to provide a full range of academic, sporting, and cultural programs for our students.
The school is located next to Taipa Beach in Doubtless Bay. The Mangonui area of New Zealand's Far North is both scenic and historic, providing a mixture of rural and urban families to our school. The school has a 70% Maori population that is significant in the school structure.

The school community has high expectations of both students and teachers.
