Mathematics & Science - NCEA Level 1
Course Outline: This course offers students the opportunity to study Math and Science for NCEA qualifications within the bilingual environment. Classes will be run in a combination of Te Reo Maori and English and will cover a range of Unit and Achievement Standards.
Mathematics: Anumber of Standards will be covered, working at levels 4 to 6 of Mathematics in the New Zealand Curriculum. All of the strands as listed below will be covered.

Algebra and Number
Geometry and Measurement
Statistics

The Mathematical Processes are incorporated throughout the year. This course can lead on to level 2Mathematics subjects if sufficient credits are earned during the year.
Science: Covers a range of scientific topics assessed between levels 4 -5 of the Science Curriculum. This course can lead on to level 2 Science subjects if sufficient credits are earned during the year
