Features Of Aquasports

  • Located in a sub-tropical climate (35° South) right next to the ocean at Taipa, Doubtless Bay.

  • Emphasis on safe fun and enjoyment of sports associated with the sea.

  • Courses available for beginners in all activities and for beginners to advanced in windsurfing, PADI diving, surf lifesaving and sailing.

Windsurfing

Beginners and advanced courses available.

Sailing

Sailing takes place in partnership with the Taipa Sailing Club and focuses mainly on beginners but has scope for advanced sailors through interschool, national and international competitions.

Diving

Students lean how to snorkel and dive safely in Northland coastal areas. Students also have the opportunity to earn PADI Recreational Dive qualifications.

Swimming & Surf Lifesaving

All Aquasport students are encouraged to train for the Surf Lifeguard Award before taking on Diving and other water sports.  They learn how to survive and to help others survive in the sea. This includes taking part in the lunchtime beach patrols at Taipa beach during the summer terms.

Ocean Kayaking

For beginners and advanced.  Allows students to Explore the beauty of Doubtless Bay and Northland Coastlines.
